The Road to COP 26 Meeting Corporate Climate Commitments and the Role of Forest Restoration Project

On 9 July 2020, BritCham Indonesia held a special webinar entitled, “BritCham Environmental Series: The Road to COP 26” which features three distinguished speakers, Jeffrey L. Chatellier (Managing Director at Forest Carbon), Lucy Arndt (Sales and Business Development Manager at Ecosphere+) and Adam Gibbon (Investment Director at Mirova Natural Capital). With around 150 registrants, this webinar addresses companies’ growing environmental concerns and how they can make commitments to a more sustainable environment.

The session began with a presentation from each speaker on their respective company’s profile: what they do, how, and why they do it, which then includes fascinating themes such as forest restoration projects in Indonesia, how companies can meet their commitments on climate change and sustainability, as well as investments for environmental projects. The panel also addressed questions from the attendees regarding various topics such as challenges in upscaling natural climate solutions in Indonesia, collaboration between domestic regulations and international frameworks, and green bonds.
